Kate leads the Talent team at Wayfair where she is responsible for global human capital management including recruiting, organization design, compensation, talent analytics and learning and development. Kate started her career at Wayfair as the Head of Investor Relations. Prior to joining the Wayfair team Kate was a private equity investor at Bain Capital for nearly 5 years. She started her career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Kate holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Yale University.
Jim Link is the chief human resources officer for Randstad North America. In his role, he is responsible for more than 7,500 Randstad employees around the world, who collectively place more than 100,000 qualified candidates in client locations weekly.
Jim’s most recent work focuses on enabling a better connection between the capabilities of workers and the growing demands of the labor market. Working with advanced technologies, progressive companies and a new generation of employees, he and his team are helping companies reimagine where, when and how work gets done.
As a recognized thought leader in human capability and the future or work, Jim is a sought-after commentator with the national and international press, features widely on the lecture and speaker circuit, and consults with leaders, companies and boards of directors around the world on matters related to the workplace.
In addition to serving on boards of advisers for several organizations, Jim is a board member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) National Foundation. He is also active with a number of charitable organizations in his community.
